Chestnut Ridge Man Donates Ambulance In Memory Of Late Wife

CHESTNUT RIDGE, N.Y. — A Chestnut Ridge man has donated an ambulance to the American Friends of Magen David Adom in memory of his late wife, who volunteered for William Faist Ambulance, according to lohud.com.

Allan Rubin said it made him 'feel good' to honor his wife's wishes, lohud.com said.

Olivia Rubin drove for William Faist Ambulance for nearly a decade despite suffering from cancer, and talked often of donating an ambulance to Magen David Adom, the Israeli Ambulance Service, reported lohud.com.

About 75 ambulances are donated each year through the American Friends, a coordinator for the organization said, lohud.com noted.
